This Privacy Policy explains how YTWatch (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) handles your information. YTWatch is operated by Tianqi Wang, an independent developer based in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Contact: support@ytwatch.app

1. Overview

YTWatch is a third-party client for browsing and playing YouTube videos on Apple Watch. We designed YTWatch to collect as little data as possible. We do not sell your data, we do not show third-party advertising, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

2. YouTube API Services

YTWatch uses YouTube API Services to provide its core functionality (browsing, search, playback, and — if you sign in — access to your subscriptions, playlists, likes, comments, and recommendations).

By using YTWatch, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms

Google’s Privacy Policy applies to Google’s handling of your data: https://policies.google.com/privacy

3. Information We Access and Store

a) If you do not sign in

b) If you sign in with your Google account

c) Revoking access

You can revoke YTWatch’s access to your Google account at any time via Google’s security settings page: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

You can also sign out within the app, which deletes the stored tokens from your device.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple’s privacy policy applies to payment processing.

5. Analytics and Diagnostics

We do not use any analytics services. Crash reports may be shared with us through Apple only if you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with app developers in your device settings.

6. Children’s Privacy

YTWatch is not directed at children under 13. In line with YouTube’s Terms of Service and the app’s age rating, you must be at least 13 years old to use YTWatch. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights (EEA/UK/California and similar jurisdictions)

Because we store almost no personal data on our own systems, most data rights (access, deletion, portability) can be exercised directly on your device: signing out deletes local tokens, and deleting the app removes all locally stored data. For your data held by YouTube/Google, please use Google’s own tools. For any privacy request or question, contact us at support@ytwatch.app and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Data Transfers

YouTube API requests are sent to Google’s servers, which may be located outside your country. Google’s own safeguards and terms govern those transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
